The concentration of my work is abstract. It is pulling a concrete realistic every day subject into another dimension where shape, perspective and color are transformed into another reality. Objects and animals become more than their original form. I look for interesting marks and lines of a subject as a foundation for an abstraction. The colors are consistent with the original subject as a connection for the viewer’s eye and mind. Each painting has a story with disguised clues. This satisfies my idea of abstraction – disguised reality.
