Tanya has studied watercolor painting for the last twenty years including classes from internationally recognized artist and teachers Ron Ranson, Alvaro Castagnet, Tom Lynch, Stan Miller, Mark Mehaffey, Ron Stocke, and Ann Abgott. She is a member of the Arizona Watercolorists Association, Contemporary Watercolor Association, Vanguard Artists, and the Sun West Art Club.

She loves to combine spontaneity and color to produce luminescent paintings.  She is passionate about light, shadow, and reflection. She loves to capture the atmosphere of the sky with rich color and reflection. Other paintings are influenced from living overseas for many years. Recently Tanya is painting watercolor portraits and experimenting in acrylic and mixed media. She loves being challenged by new techniques and strives to learn more to share with her students.

Tanya’s artwork has been juried into regional and open art shows. She offered adult watercolor classes for more than 9 years. Her paintings have been accepted into the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies in San Diego CA, Arizona Art Alliance “Interpretations” Show, Holland Gallery of Fine Art AZ, Rochester Contemporary Art Center NY, Sun West Juried Art Show, Washington State Fine Art Show, Tacoma Maritime Museum and others. Her works are in private collections and Tacoma General Hospital. Tanya has appeared on Washington Comcast television demonstrating her painting technique.
